Nadia Elena Comăneci (Onești, 12 november 1961) is een Roemeense gymnaste, winnaar van vijf gouden medailles op de Olympische Spelen en de eerste die een perfecte score van 10 punten heeft behaald tijdens een Olympische wedstrijd. Haar ouders zijn Gheorghe en Ștefania-Alexandrina Comăneci. Ze heeft een broer, Adrian, die in 1967 geboren is.

Barthold Wayne Conner (born March 28, 1958) is a retired American Olympic gymnast. He was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and won two gold medals at the 1984 Summer Olympics. He owns and operates the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy in Norman, Oklahoma, along with his wife, Romanian Olympic gold medalist Nadia Comăneci. In addition, Conner is a long-time gymnastics commentator, and both Comăneci and Conner are highly involved with the Special Olympics.

Nicu Ceaușescu (Romanian pronunciation: [ˈniku tʃe̯a.uˈʃesku]; 1 September 1951 – 26 September 1996) was a Romanian physicist and communist politician who was the youngest child of Romanian leaders Nicolae and Elena Ceaușescu. He was a close associate of his father's political regime and considered the President's heir presumptive.
